Open invitation for pasture research open day
You’re invited. .
We would like to invite you to attend Barenbrug Pasture Systems Demonstration Site, Open Day at Winton.
This is not only an opportunity to open Barenbrug’s Southland Demonstration Site to people interested in agriculture but an opportunity for you to hear from a range of experts throughout the day.
- Ballance Agri-Nutrients nutrient dynamics specialist, Jim Risk will discuss the importance of understanding your fertiliser recommendations and nitrogen application throughout the year for pasture production, as well as soil structure and fertility.
- NuFarm territory manager Paul Bridgman will be discussing establishing new mixed sward pastures to maximise the benefits of these pastures, as well things to remember around re-grassing and spring activities with some weed ID.
- Barenbrug will be providing information on theory around the perfect pasture management with the practical implications of this to achieve it most of the time.
We encourage you to fill your vehicle with anyone you think would benefit from the day. This is a great opportunity not only to interact and build your relationships, but also gives everyone an opportunity to get off farm and listen to some important information to get their new pastures off to the best start.
BBQ lunch will be provided after our speakers, giving time to ask questions and interact with customers and rural professionals.
For any further information, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the team.
When: Wednesday 2nd of October, 10am to 2pm
Where: 231 Lorneville and Winton Highway
